Here are some examples of work done at Black Kite Studios between 2021 and 2023.

In addition to these projects, I built their pipeline (for Houdini, Maya, Nuke, Arnold, with Deadline and Autodesk Shotgrid/Flow integration) from scratch, so my direct visual output during this period has been a bit less prolific than in previous jobs.

Amazon Books

This award-winning commercial was one of my first large projects at Black Kite, completed in the simmer of 2022.

I was responsible for all FX work, including massive RBD destructions, with secondary particle, Vellum cloth and smoke simulations, as well as procedurally generated vines.

Amazon Christmas

On Amazon’s Christmas commercial directed by Taika Waititi I was responsible for adding the magic of flying confetti in a classic example of subtle “invisible” FX.

Other projects

I worked on numerous smaller projects for brands such as Instacart, Samsung, Pringles, Lucozade, Capital One, Apple …

One of my favourites was a commercial for the luxury brand Montblanc. I worked on some subtle falling paper FX and also ended up doing the final lighting and compositing.
